Service Description
The "Beyond the Basics" Group is an 8-week course. Each class runs for 90 minutes and includes lessons, drills, and supervised games. The course is a perfect environment for students who already know how to the move the pieces and understand very basic strategy. By the end of the eight-session learn-and-play program, students will have all the tools to play more advanced and meaningful games and compete with friends and family. Generally speaking, by the conclusion of this class, players will be ready to participate in their first "rated" tournament within a United States Chess Federation sanctioned event. Minimum of 3 students per class and a maximum of 10 to ensure a quality experience for all participants.

Cancellation Policy
To receive a refund for a canceled private lesson, please notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Lessons canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time are non-refundable. Refunds are not offered for missed Intro to Chess classes, but videos of each class are uploaded to a secure site that you may access if you miss a class.
